Overview
Cheri A. Hauer, Esq. is a partner with Leach Kern Gruchow Song. A trusted advisor to her many clients in community associations throughout Nevada, Ms. Hauer’s expertise includes common-interest developments, governing document interpretation and enforcement, contract review and negotiation, mediation and dispute resolution, corporate governance, land use, and real estate development. Ms. Hauer has represented common-interest communities as corporate counsel in both Nevada and California for the last fifteen years. Ms. Hauer is a member of the College of Community Association Lawyers (CCAL). Ms. Hauer is one of just over 175 attorneys in the United States to be inducted into the College and one of only five – including John Leach and Gayle Kern also of LKG – in the state of Nevada.
Prior to moving to Las Vegas, Ms. Hauer was assistant general counsel for a Northern Nevada/Northern California homebuilder, and she has also represented title companies in resolving title insurance disputes and other land use issues.
Ms. Hauer has authored and taught several continuing education classes for common-interest community managers through the Nevada Real Estate Division, as well as teaching community manager pre-licensing classes and sessions for CAI and CAMEO. At the 2018 State Bar of Nevada Annual Meeting, Ms. Hauer and Ms. Kern teamed to present their vast knowledge for the State Bar of Nevada in a seminar entitled New Developments in HOA Law.
Ms. Hauer is a competitive equestrian who competes all over the West Coast and an avid Las Vegas Golden Knights hockey fan.
