Overview

John E. Leach, Esq. is a shareholder with Leach Kern Gruchow Anderson Song. Mr. Leach’s practice area focuses on representation of common-interest communities, property management and development, and real estate. Mr. Leach is a member of the College of Community Association Lawyers (CCAL). Mr. Leach is one of just over 175 attorneys in the United States to be inducted into the College and one of only five —including Gayle Kern and Cheri Hauer also of LKG—in the state of Nevada.

Mr. Leach has been an instructor at the College of Southern Nevada in business law and constitutional law courses. He was also an instructor at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, teaching a course entitled “Community Association Law for Paralegals.” Mr. Leach also lectured for the National Business Institute legal seminars on the topics of personal property possession and foreclosures, as well as legal aspects of condominium development and HOAs in Nevada.

Mr. Leach regularly speaks at seminars about NRS 116 (Uniform Common-Interest Ownership Act) and other association issues. At the 2015 State Bar of Nevada Annual Meeting, Mr. Leach was one of the speakers for the State Bar of Nevada Real Property Section on the topic of “Gear Up” for Nevada Supreme Court Landmark Decisions Impacting Loans Secured by Real Estate. Mr. Leach has also written numerous articles for common-interest community publications.

Mr. Leach previously served on the North Las Vegas Citizen’s Advisory Council. From 1999-2003 and 2007-2008, Mr. Leach served as a co-host of the television show Homeowner Talk, airing on KCLV, Cable Channel 2 in Las Vegas. The program offered free advice and information from guests who are experts in fields such as roofing, soils, indoor air quality, housing construction, laws governing homeowners’ associations, and other subjects that interested homeowners.

Mr. Leach was raised in Northern Nevada and graduated from Sparks High School. He is a San Francisco 49ers and Giants fan and collects team sports memorabilia.
